2006 was a nice sunny play

Will you take the 30 silver coins, young man?
The Passion Play in 2006 was a beautiful sunny day - but we still see umbrellas, this time for the sun rather than the rain.
Every year there are some changes to the play, representing different views and ideas from the director and players and support team. Some ideas work and some are modified, but they are all great signs of a living play.
The core of the script is all from scripture which doesn't change, but the way in which it is presented makes a great difference. Costumes, props, the personalities of each of the actors all combine to make every play different - yet the same!

The Romans have always been very enthusiastic
That is why we have so many people coming every year. The story that has been retold and remembered over the last 2,000 years yet is ever new.
